What brought me to F3

I had been hounded by two guys to go for months. Then, an AO was set to launch down the street from me in Saint Louis when I was living there. I showed up, got my butt kicked, and the rest... is history.

What keeps me coming back

The men. The workouts are great, but it's the relationships, the accountability, and knowing that I'm part of something bigger than myself that keeps me coming back. F3 has a way of pushing you physically while challenging you to become a better man outside the AO.

What F3 means to me

F3 is about Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith, but for me, it's really about men sharpening men. It's a place where we can show up as we are, work hard together, and leave better than we came.

My favorite F3 moment

Honestly, it's hard to pick one. Some of my favorite moments are when a guy who was just showing up to get a workout suddenly starts stepping up, leading, and investing in other men. Watching guys realize they're capable of more than they thought is what makes F3 special.

What I am most excited about

Building something special with a group of men who are willing to lead. We have a tremendous opportunity in Douglas County to build a strong, connected region with a high standard and a lot of energy behind it.

What I hope to contribute

A relentless focus on leadership and growth. I want us to develop more leaders, give men opportunities to step up, and create a culture where everyone understands that they have a role in making the region better.

What I want to see here

I want to see DOCO become a region where men know what to expect every time they post: great workouts, strong leadership, real fellowship, and a standard worth being part of. One region, one standard, many leaders.

What brought me to F3

The passing of my mom in February 2024 put my life, my choices, and my legacy (or lack thereof) in the spotlight of my mind. I wanted to make better choices for myself and my family. And I wanted to leave a legacy that my family could be proud of.

What keeps me coming back

Three things: (1) I have a long way to go and I need help to get there. (2) Lots of other men have a long way to go and need help to get there. (3) Toto was the only man that showed up on my first day and it changed the direction of my life. I want to be that man for those men that haven't shown up in the gloom yet.

What F3 means to me

Connection, accountability, and purpose. And EMOM burpees.

My favorite F3 moment

Q'ing my 2nd Manniversary beatdown, celebrating with homemade breakfast burritos, and holding the coveted "Q Cup"!

What I am most excited about

(1) Offering every man in DOCO the opportunity to find F3. (2) Helping develop men into better leaders.

What I hope to contribute

A new vision for male community/fellowship: The pursuit of IMPACT through the practice of PROXIMITY for the promotion of ACCOUNTABILITY

What I want to see here

A thriving AO within a 5 minute drive of every man in Douglas County.

What brought me to F3

A random invitation by Froyo on the very first time we had coffee together (we didn't even know each other).

What keeps me coming back

The camaraderie with High Impact Men.

What F3 means to me

A brotherhood committed to mutual encouragement to face and do hard things and accelerate in the 3 most important areas of our lives.

The circle of trust following B-Guy's (3rd?) Manniversary

What I am most excited about

Getting to know and serve an army of men already dedicated to this noble pursuit.

What I hope to contribute

Develop an inviting network of men willing to help each other wrestle with the big questions and find their WHY.

What I want to see here

Even more men engaged in relationships that sharpen us and align us to our Purpose.

Moved to the area, was looking for a good group of men to connect with.

What keeps me coming back

Can't have these old farts looking better than me

What F3 means to me

F3 is a pillar of the local community helping men to grow physically, mentally and spiritually while having a supportive group of men they can rely on. F3 helps men to help themselves and bring that growth to their family and community.

My favorite F3 moment

Red Rocks Convergence Ruck/River dip. Burpees in the creek.

What I am most excited about

I'm most excited to help FNGs feel welcome and get involved in F3 and to push the AOs physically by showing up and smashing the workouts.

What I hope to contribute

Positivity and support. I may not be a morning person, but once I'm finally awake I'll always bring a positive perspective to any challenge and help support HIMs in any way I possibly can.

What I want to see here

I want to see more younger people join F3. I think F3 is SO helpful especially for younger men who can take so much wisdom and guidance from other men and it's not taken off in our area among younger men, YET

What brought me to F3

I had been a remote employee for 13 years and was increasingly realizing that the social isolation and lack of true friendship was not good for me. I was hoping to find a good group of like-minded men. F3 fills all the voids for me...getting up early, exercising, and having some great discussions over coffee.

What keeps me coming back

I love being a part of something that is bigger than me and that is growing. I look forward to seeing where we go in the next few years.

What F3 means to me

F3 means I have a group of guys that I call my friends. True friendship takes time to build, and F3 provides the right space for me to do just that.

My favorite F3 moment

BlackHat led a MABA beatdown in Parker in January 2026 in which there was a couple of inches of snow on the ground with wind chill below zero. Yet despite those conditions we still had about 10 guys that participated that day.

What I am most excited about

I'm excited to see how we on the IT Q team can use technology to serve our existing PAX and bring in new men

What I hope to contribute

I'd like to develop an app that helps people who are new to Q'ing develop a beatdown and guide them through the beatdown itself

What I want to see here

I think we have the opportunity for LOTS of new AOs, as we're still fairly spread apart. In my mind one of the first steps is figuring out how to effectively reach out and build awareness in our community.

What brought me to F3

A guy at a leadership conference in Beaver Creek left dinner at the top of the gondola early. He mentioned he had an early morning workout. I saw him again the next day and he told me about F3. That night I looked it up and found there was an AO less than a mile from my house.

I didn't know that I needed it. I was doing Peloton by myself, but I lacked community, fellowship, and accountability. You don't get those things by yourself. That's what I was craving, and it's what I found the first time I showed up.

What keeps me coming back

The guys in the gloom, pushing me and helping me accelerate. All men need that, whether you know it or not.

What F3 means to me

It's a constant reminder that we need to be accelerating in every area of our lives. F3 gives me the framework and the community to actually live it out.

My favorite F3 moment

The third annual Castle Rock Fitness Challenge in 2026, when 85 men showed up from all over the state.

What I am most excited about

The opportunity to reach more guys. Everywhere I look I see men alone. At work, at the park, at the gym. There are so many guys who just need to hear about F3 and experience it, and that's what gets me excited about this role with DOCO.

What I hope to contribute

Growth. I want to reach men all over the Denver area with the message and the impact F3 can bring to their lives.

What I want to see here

More men in the F3 community, with a continued focus on hyper local fellowship and acceleration.

What brought me to F3

I was feeling stuck in my life with little feelings of purpose or passion. Like I was simply surviving, not thriving. Something had to change. Being overweight and feeling a lack of purpose pushed me to look for workout groups. I saw "men's workout group" on a church website and proceeded to wait 4 months before acting on it. Once I did finally interact, it was a redirect to F3.

What keeps me coming back

Fellowship is top of the list. I have met some amazing HIM who have helped change the trajectory of my psyche and demeanor. Opening up in COT and getting support from my brothers has been life changing. The excessive amount of burpees are a distant second.

What F3 means to me

It's a fellowship of brothers who grow closer together through joint suffering during beatdowns. It has been a wonderful gift to me and I hope to EH as many new guys as possible to share the wealth.

My favorite F3 moment

the fact that some knucklehead created something as asinine as "preburps" for 30-45 minutes before beatdowns.

What I am most excited about

The opportunity to push men to be the best version of themselves.

What I hope to contribute

Encouraging fellow PAX to be genuine and truly share what they need help with.

What I want to see here

Growth. F3 has had such a profound impact in my life. I want other men to experience what I have.

What brought me to F3

Probably like most men, I fell for the oldest trick in the book: A free workout.

What keeps me coming back

By the end of the first beatdown, I knew this was something special. Sure it might have been that wonderful feeling of "how do I not throw up in front of these guys I just met?" In Castle Pines we do QSource every Friday and that has allowed not only so much learning and discussion, but also some true bonding.

What F3 means to me

To me, F3 means I could move anywhere in the US and have good friends within a month of posting my first beatdown. The beatdowns and what you gain at them, are similar to oxygen.... you don't realize how much it means to you until you don't have it. It's growth, acceleration, challenging, true fellowship, and almost everything that is missing in today's society. I've yet to meet a HIM that I haven't liked.

My favorite F3 moment

Almost too many favorites to narrow it down so I'll share the story of my VQ. It was a snowy and windy January morning. I was nervous that I was going to forget my beatdown so I wrote all of the exercises down on an index card. I put down the card for my warmup and a huge gust of wind came in carried it away. So there I was already nervous about leading for the first time and instead of demonstrating an exercise for the group, I got to demonstrate how fast I could run through a snowy field while trying to chase down a little 3.5 card.

What I am most excited about

I find it to be an honor to be able to serve DOCO - The Ridgeline. Others may disagree, but I feel DOCO stems from Castle Pines doing things right. For the longest time, we were stuck at about 4-6 PAX per beatdown. Our entire AO consciously and strategically decided that we needed to grow it. We were successful and then we starfished, and starfished again, and yet we continue our growth. I couldn't be more proud to see our latest Fitness Challenge go from mid 20-30's in attendance to over 80 men standing shoulder to shoulder.

What I hope to contribute

This is a timely question because right now I'm trying to schedule and coordinate another CPR class for our region. I'd love it if we could get at least another 2-3 men per AO trained. Every year F3 loses a HIM to a medical emergency, and I want DOCO -- The Ridgeline to be prepared.

What I want to see here

Continued growth. Castle Rock seems to be a no-brainer. A closer Sunday alternative to Red Rucks. Honestly, I think each city in Douglas County could support 2-3 AO's.

What brought me to F3

COVID was a tough season, and I knew I needed to make a change. 88, a dad from my kids' school who helped start F3 Gold Rush in Rocklin, CA, had been telling me about F3. Late one Friday night, I finally reached out and asked if I could join him the next morning.

What keeps me coming back

After I read Freed to Lead. Once I understood the story behind F3 and its mission, everything changed. I was all in.

What F3 means to me

In 2021, I attended a mental health training where they asked us to identify a friend outside of our family or spouse. Without F3, I honestly don't know who I would have named. F3 has given me true friendships, accountability, and a group of men I can count on.

Earning my spike at my 100th post with Gold Rush.

What I am most excited about

Growth and consistency.

What I hope to contribute

I'd love to see us fully embrace QSource. I've been part of a region that leaned into those leadership principles, and I saw firsthand how they impacted not only my life, but the lives of the men around me. It helped us become better leaders, husbands, fathers, and members of our community.

What I want to see here
